Gene R. “Geno” Baldini, 69, of Donora, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2022, at Penn Highlands Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born in New Eagle on Nov. 21, 1952, son of the late Albert Baldini and the late Jean Carbone Baldini. A 23-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, Gene served with Strike Fighter Squadron No. 147. He received the National Defense Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation and several other decorations and awards for his honorable service. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Biagini Baldini; a son, Phillip (Larissa) Ainsworth of East McKeesport; a sister, Maria Baldini of Donora; four brothers, Domenic (Kristie) Baldini of Virginia, Perry (Cindy) Baldini of Carroll Township, Dino (Nicki) Baldini of Gibsonia and Philip (Linda) Baldini of Rostraver Township; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Committal services with military honors accorded by the U.S. Navy and Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.  Family and friends wishing to attend services for Gene are asked to meet at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville at 12:45 p.m. or at Massafra Funeral Home no later than 11:30 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L.
