Ray Edwin Ver Steeg – Allison Park

Ray Edwin Ver Steeg, 56, of Allison Park, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Born in Burbank, Calif.; on Feb. 10, 1966, he was the son of Ralph Edwin and Rebecca Lois Guffey Ver Steeg, who survive and reside in Elizabeth. Ray owned and operated two Subway restaurants for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Steven (Marae) Ver Steeg of Tomball, Texas; sister, Roanna Barclay of Boise, Idaho; and nieces and nephews, Logan, Lauren and AJ Barclay and Kristianna, Greigory, Liam and Nathan Ver Steeg. Ray was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Ver Steeg. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2022, at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
