Susan Ann Labash Naylor – Rostraver Township

By obits

Susan Ann Labash Naylor passed away at her home, the “Naylorosa,” on May 12, 2022. Susan gave a valiant fight against ovarian cancer, proving how strong of a hunky woman she really was. She was born Nov. 19, 1955, in North Charleroi. A 1973 graduate of Belle Vernon, Susan was a lifelong resident of Rostraver Township. In her lifetime, Susan ran a crane at the Allenport mill, led many young children through the Campfire Association and was a classroom aide for 14 years. Her most beloved jobs of all were being mommy to Sarah and Hannah, and a partner to Rick. Susan loved taking adventures with her girls, finding the ultimate treats in life, and spending time in her numerous gardens. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Malaski Labash; as well as her fellow troublemaker, Aunt Jean Braun Tsambis. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Richard; and by daughters Sarah (Conor) Murphy and Hannah (Samuel) Gumbert. Her grandchildren, William and Charlotte Murphy, were the light of her life. Susan is also survived by a sister, Laurel (Marty) Grimes of Rostraver; and sisters-in-law, Carla (Russel) Namie of Youngwood and Valerie (Stan) Weron of Richardson, Texas; along with many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. The Naylor family would like to thank the team at the Cancer Center of Jefferson Hospital for its wonderful care and attention throughout this journey, as well as the nurses and aides of Hope Hospice and Cookie Newstrom, for their love and compassion. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the HealthWell Foundation in memory of Susan.
