Mark E. Brown – Fayette City

Mark E. Brown, 63, of Fayette City, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1958, in Charleroi, son of Stephen K Brown and Mary Shimko Brown. Mark was a member of Fayette City United Presbyterian Church, American Legion Brightwell-Daughtery Post No. 484 in Fayette City, VFW Gold Star Post No. 7023 in Perryopolis, Fayette City Volunteer Fire Company and the Civil Air Patrol. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with 23 years of service. Mark worked at the BVA School District as a van driver and security guard. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Brown and wife Susan of State College, Pa.; niece, Paula Anderson and husband Eric; and nephew, Kenneth Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022, at ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME, Fayette City, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022, in the funeral home with Lay Minister Karen Zueger officiating. American Legion Post No. 484 and VFW Post No. 7023 will conduct services at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Fayette City Fire Company will conduct services at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fayette City United Presbyterian Church, RR 1, Box 526, Fayette City, PA 15438.
