John M. McMurray, 87, of McMurray, died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at McMurray Hills Manor. He was born in McMurray on Jan. 19, 1935, to the late William and Bertha Mercer McMurray. John was Presbyterian by faith but attended St. Benedict the Abbot Roman Catholic Church with his wife. He served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. John was retired from Mayview Hospital, where he worked as a groundskeeper. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Raymond Marmie of Monessen, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Marmie McMurray. Friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating. Interment will be in Brush Run Cemetery, Venetia.
