Monongahela hires 2 part-time cops; seeking office assistant

Monongahela council on Wednesday made multiple decisions related to staffing. Council unanimously agreed to hire two part-time police officers. Chief Kevin Harris said the first new hire, Officer Thomas McCarthy, has been an officer within Washington County for some time. He most recently worked in California Borough and has a good background and reputation, Harris said.
