MVI Live team speaks to Cal U class

Members of the Mon Valley Independent Live team traveled to Cal U Wednesday afternoon to speak to professor Jeff Helsel’s Producing Media Messages class about real-life experiences and the launch of the Mon Valley Independent’s digital platform. Sports editor Jeremy Sellew, assistant sports editor Jose Negron and multimedia director Alex Lyons discussed the ongoing transition of news being delivered via print media like newspapers, to new digital platforms such as social media and livestreaming.
