James E. Peters – Bentleyville

James E. Peters, 66, of Bentleyville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022. He was born Nov. 26, 1955, in Washington, Pa., son of the late John and Marie Shaw Peters. Jim was a 1975 graduate of Bentworth High School. Mr. Peters was employed as a steelworker with Cleveland Cliffs Steel, Monessen Works for 44 years. He was involved with the Ellsworth Fire Department, served as a scout master in the Boy Scouts and was a member of the Ellsworth Sportsman’s Club where he enjoyed shooting trap. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and restoring cars. Surviving are his former wife, Charlene Peters and a son Wesley Peters, both of Bentleyville; a nephew, Jeremy Span (Tracey); and a great-niece, Cara Span, all of Fredericktown. Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Joyce Span. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at GREENLEE’S BENTLEYVILLE FUNERAL HOME, 619 Main St., Bentleyville.
