By obits

Kathryn Louise Sisley, 68, of Coal Center, died of COVID-19 complications on Jan. 5, 2022. She was born Nov. 25, 1953, in Sutersville, a daughter of the late John H. and Violet Harenski. Kathy is survived by her two children and four grandchildren, who made up the entirety of her world: her daughter Janelle V. Tonini; and granddaughters Lily Rose Tonini and Isabella Grace Tonini of Coal Center, and her son, George (Erin) M. Sisley and grandsons, Dominic W. Sisley and Liam G. Sisley of Martinez, Ga. Besides her children and grandchildren, Kathy is survived by her husband of 42 years, George E Sisley; her sisters, Amy (Michael) Toward and Mary (Sam) Taylor; and her brothers, Mike (Linda) Harenski, John (Sandy) Harenski and Joseph (Linda) Harenski; her sisters-in-law, Ruth Marier, Mary (Archa) Liles and Jean Pavarnik; her brother-in-law, Mark Sisley; and many friends whom her life has touched. Kathy’s hobbies were managing the family business, making jewelry, crafting and spending time with her loved ones. Kathy was the happiest and sweetest person anyone could ever meet. She believed that this time on earth was the start of our spiritual journey, and spreading love and light is our purpose. She made the best of her time here and touched many lives along the way. Kathy valued relationships, family, faith and making the world a better place, in which she succeeded. A service will be held at Howe United Methodist Church in Coal Center at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for prayers. Arrangements have been entrusted to MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., Rosoce.
