Faustine Still – Filburn Manor, West Newton

Faustine Still, 94, of Filburn Manor, West Newton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at her home. Born Dec. 4, 1926 in Highspire, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Thomas William Still Sr. and Clara Seiders Still. She was a resident of West Newton for the past seven years, having previously resided in Belle Vernon since 1948, was a member of the former First Baptist Church, Monessen, a graduate of John Harris High School in Harrisburg and later worked at the Naval base in Mechanicsburg before moving to Belle Vernon. The last surviving member of the Still family, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Claire and Kenneth Torkish of Belle Vernon; son and daughter-in-law, Garmon Longnecker Jr. and wife Belinda of North Belle Vernon; five grandchildren Jennifer (Rob) Dekerlegand, Jason (Alyson) Longnecker, Jill (Eddie) Oshetsky, Amy (Keith) Myers and Kimberly Manint; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon and Nathan Dekerlegand, Amelia, Natalie and Maggie Longnecker, Sadie and Sophie Oshetsky; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Thomas William Still Jr., Martin Ulysses Still, Russell Still, Conelius Still and Theodore Still; and seven sisters, Lillian Flowers, Geraldine Martin, Valerian Wittle, Beatrice Still, Bernice Kline, Charlotte Wolf and Daris Still. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC with Elder Jason Longnecker of Bible Alliance Church in West Newton officiating. Interment will take place in Rehoboth Cemetery. Condolences accepted at the funeral home’s website, www.parzynskifuneralhome.com.
