Edward H. Axton – Monessen

Edward H. Axton, 58, of Monessen, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 27, 1963, in Washington, Pa., a son of Russell Axton and Ruth Kent Axton. He was a member of First Christian Church in Fayette City and a 28-year member of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Skywarn Spotter Association. He retired from Rygiel Excavating in Fayette City. He is survived by his daughter, Renee Watson; two sisters, Connie Misiewicz and husband Edward of Perryopolis and Susan Sepesy of Donora; brother, William Axton and Linda of Perryopolis; sister-in-law, Rebecca S. Thomas of Monessen and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy Holmes Axton on June 19, 2021; and an infant son. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME, Fayette City, Pa. www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, in the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Boring officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
