Kenneth R. Lynn – Belle Vernon

Kenneth R. Lynn, 92, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at Dunlevy Manor Personal Care Home. A son of the late Ina McKean and Glenn R. Lynn, he was born on May 7, 1929. Ken was a 50-year member of American Legion Post 659 in Belle Vernon, was the oldest member of the Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Belle Vernon Moose. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, he had been employed at the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co. and retired from Metz Construction of Bentleyville. Ken served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri and Dick Wiant and Pam and Craig Ambrose, all of North Belle Vernon; eight grandchildren, Rachael Lynn, Heidi Lynn, Kristopher Mastracci, Korey Mastracci (Bobbi), Jamason (Alia) Wiant, Courtney Ambrose, Jeffrey (Shannon) Ambrose and Cody Ambrose; 10  great-grandchildren, Parker Manges, Gavin Manges, Hayden Lynn, Adorie Mastracci, Landon Mastracci, Hailey McKeen (Willie), Hannah Wiant (Brian), Reiley Wiant, Mia Ambrose and Austin Ambrose; four step-great-grandchildren, Emma, Liv, Chloe and Caleb Horner; stepchildren, Christopher (Cathy) Phillips, Stephen Phillips, Richard Phillips and Linda Phillips; and five step-grandchildren, Ava, Macey, Kennedy, Alexa and Christopher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes “Joanie” Lynn in 2001; and a daughter, Debbie Lynn in 2018. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.   Entombment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
