Carol Kroskie – Roscoe

By obits

Carol Kroskie, 78, of Roscoe, passed away surrounded by her loved ones at home on Nov. 10, 2021. Carol was born on Jan. 23, 1943, to Ralph and Stella Mae Ward Anderson in California, Pa. She spent her life as a homemaker and devoted wife to her husband, Larry, and was a fiercely dedicated mom to all four of her children, raising all of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Carol. In her lifetime, she enjoyed spending time in her backyard gardening and baking with her grandchildren. She and her late husband also spent much of their time crafting together. She spent a decade working in the cafeteria at the California University dining hall, where she also mothered many of the college students. Carol was a huge crime buff and loved watching crime show marathons. Most importantly, she loved being a grandmother to her six grandchildren. Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Larry Kroskie; and brothers and sister-in-law, John (Carlene) Anderson and Ray Anderson. She is survived by her children, Pam (Dave) Yasenchak, Sheri (John) Galli, Suzi (Bob) Vercamen and Larry (Denise Mitchell) Kroskie; grandchildren, Sheri (Adam) Wikert, Chelsea (Jon) Sanders, David (Jen Ryan) Yasenchak, Lindsay (Jake) Wall, Lacey (Cesar) Saavedra and Katlyn Vercamen; her brother, Ralph Anderson; sister, Mary Kortina. Carol was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where funeral services will begin at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Brian Carroll presiding. Online condolences may be expressed at www.melenyzer.com.
