Wilbur “Wap” Lee Larkin Sr., 75, was dispatched to help repair one of the heavenly trains on Oct. 26, 2021. Wil or “Wap” as he was affectionately known, was born July 25, 1946, in Farmington, W.Va., to parents Dorothy Loving Larkin and William Larkin Sr. Although Wilbur was born in Farmington, he spent most of his life in the Mon Valley area, growing up in Belle Vernon and primarily residing in Donora. He attended Belle Vernon Area School District and worked as a truck driver for most of his adult life. For those that knew Wilbur, he could fix just about anything. He was often the called upon mechanic, plumber, electrician and complete jack of all trades in the family. He was extremely resourceful and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who crossed his path. Wilbur was the father to five children, Tracey Lee-Mongeau, Wilbur “Tazz” Larkin Jr., Sheila Johnston, Dakota Johnston and bonus daughter, Destiny Johnston. Wilbur also has several grandchildren, Kiara Larkin, Brendan Lee, Damien Larkin, Darien Larkin, Caleb Johnston, Elijah Green, Damaree Green, Isaac Green and Theo Johnston. He also leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Kamery Lee; and siblings, Lee Etta Hairston, Leonard Larkin and Juanita Larkin Sr. Wilbur is preceded in death by both of his parents, several siblings and two children, Wilbur “Tazz” Larkin Jr. and Dakota Richard Johnston. Wilbur will be missed greatly by numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, with a chapel service at 3 p.m. at House of Jackson Memorial Chapel, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, PA. Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Avenue. Donora, PA, Karl Jackson funeral director, 724-379-5420.
