Fire hits McKeesport home

Several area fire departments were called to the 1400 block of Locust Street in McKeesport around 8:30 p.m. Thursday for a two-alarm house fire. It’s unclear if anyone lived in the home or if anyone was injured. Several structures in the surrounding area appear to be abandoned and blighted. First responders on scene didn’t offer details. Large amounts of white foam that was inches thick could be seen on the brick road in front of the house. Firefighters seemed to have the blaze under control around 10:30 p.m., but a small, faint stream of smoke could still be seen coming from the roof.
