Born at Monongahela Memorial Hospital in New Eagle, to the late Vincent F. and Anna Sabo Bozzi, he spent his childhood on Park Avenue in Monongahela and Liberty Borough. He graduated from McKeesport Vocational High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force between 1968-1972 as a plane mechanic. After the Air Force, David and Irma started their family in San Francisco, Calif.
