Larry Joseph Clawson Sr., 68, of Clairton, passed away Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, in the Hospice Inpatient Unit, Lawrenceville, Pa. Born Aug. 2, 1953, he was the son of the late Lorraine School and Robert Theodore Clawson; beloved father of Larry J. Clawson Jr.; cherished grandfather to Jakob, Harley, Alana and Chloe Clawson; and loving brother of Kathleen M. Sinclair (John III) and Karen L. Lake (Andrew C.). He was preceded in death by both parents and his two brothers, Robert A. Clawson and James D. Clawson. Larry enjoyed the outdoors. He was a dedicated fisherman and enjoyed fishing in the Pennsylvania lakes, especially Raystown Lake. The stories he could tell about the fish he caught and the ones that got away! Hunting was also a passion of his and he enjoyed cooking, especially for his friends and family. It was always a feast that he prepared and was so happy to share. Maggie, his adorable cockapoo, was his sidekick. He took her everywhere and she was his best buddy. She never wanted to leave his side, even in the end. No services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation Specialist of Pennsylvania, 728 Main St., Avoca, PA 18641, 570-457-2872.
