Kay A. Curry, 77, of Jefferson Hills, passed away Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her niece and nephew in Monongahela. She retired as the owner of Curry’s Corner in West Elizabeth. A former member of West Elizabeth United Methodist Church, she was a former scale house operator at Charles Bluestone in Elizabeth. She enjoyed time with her family and was an advocate and lover of animals. Born April 9, 1944, in Jefferson Hills, she was a daughter of the late James Edward Barrickman Sr. and the late Mary Wray Barrickman. She is survived by her brother, James Edward (Mary Ann) Barrickman Jr. of Jefferson Hills; nieces and nephews, William (Andrea) Weber of Bethel Park, James Edward (Robin) Barrickman III of Pasadena, Md., Kathy (Bruce) Santina of Monongahela, Kay Lynn (Gary) Miller of Elizabeth and Susan Lloyd of Kentucky; many adoring great and great-great-nieces and nephews, along with cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Curry — her life, her love, her world; brother, Charles Lloyd Sr.; sister and brother-in-law, Eva Weber and Clarence Weber Sr.; and nephews, Clarence Weber II and Charles Lloyd Jr. Friends will be received at PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 N. Second Ave., Elizabeth, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL with Pastor Hal Dangel officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. Offer condolences at www.bekavacfuneralhome.com.
