Carol J. Moebus, 84, of Monongahela, died Sunday, July 11, 2021, in Arden Courts of Jefferson Hills, surrounded by her family. Born and raised in Johnstown, she was born on Nov. 3, 1936, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Olive Adams Davis. A Monongahela resident for the past 56 years, Carol worked as a secretary for the Ringgold School District for many years, working at several elementary schools, where she was loved by students and teachers alike and eventually retired from Ringgold’s central office in 2006. A member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monongahela, she served on their church council, sang in the choir and was active in many committees over the years. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and was known for her excellent cookies. She is survived by her two children, Jennifer Stadler and her husband David of Ellicott City, Md., and Jonathan Moebus and his wife Jodi of Canonsburg; five grandchildren, Reed, Grant, Kamryn, Adrienne and Austin; and her sisters, Wilma Sharpe and Sally Lazorchak. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Herbert A. Moebus, who died in 2003; and three brothers, Paul, Eugene and Lee Davis. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021, at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com. An additional visitation will take place Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, 911 Howard St., Monongahela, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Matthew Stabe officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
