Carol Sue Dragone Walters – Monongahela
Carol Sue Dragone Walters, 75, of Monongahela, died Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in her home. She was born Oct. 23, 1945, in Brownsville, the daughter of Frank and Margaret Macik Dragone. Carol graduated from Monongahela High School in 1964 and from the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy with a license in cosmetology. She was employed at Zegarelli Brothers Beauty Shop in Pittsburgh, Carl Lane’s in Charleroi and Gail Amoroso’s Beauty Shop in Monongahela. She did charity work for Habitat for Humanity of the Mid Mon Valley and was a member of Columbiettes Council No. 2600 in Monongahela and Council No. 3683 in Finleyville. Carol was last employed as a certified personal care aide at Nevaeh Cove in North Charleroi. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela and a eucharistic minister. She is survived by her daughter, Danna M. Walters-Miller and husband Daryl of Monongahela; son, Daniel R. Walters Sr. and wife Deborah of New Eagle; three grandchildren, Courtney Pierce and husband Chad, Breanna Rollins and Daniel R. Walters Jr.; three step-grandchildren, Christopher Bartolotta, Tina Dalesandry and husband Ron, and Joshua and Brian Bartolotta; two great-grandchildren, Sophia Pierce and Karter Hill; four step-great- grandchildren, Angel and Cheyanne Madden, David Henning and Andrew Bartolotta; sister, Donna Rose and husband Charles of Monongahela; brother-in-law, Donald Lettrich of Greensburg; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Daniel Walters, who died April 15, 2019; and her sister, Sondra Lettrich. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2021, at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Monongahela. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
