Lara Lee Simpson – West Newton

Lara Lee Simpson, 53, of West Newton, died Sunday, April 18, 2021. She was born in Carroll Township on June 12, 1967. Lara Lee graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Penn State and a master’s degree in teaching from California University of Pennsylvania and was working at The Village Early Childhood Education Center in California, Pa. She is survived by her parents, James and Neville (Van Bremen) Vasko of Belle Vernon; sons, Aubrey John Simpson, Braedon William Simpson and Carter James Simpson, all of Warrenton, Va.; twin sister, Lisa Steban of Belle Vernon; father-in-law, John Simpson of Warrenton, Va.; uncle, Gerald Van Bremen and wife Eleanor of Rostraver Township; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Steban, Kristina Steban and Tyler Steban; cousin, Eugenia Van Bremen and husband, Maxwell Lawrence of Brooklyn, N.Y.; numerous cousins; and her life-long friend, Joyce (Eric) Bell. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to JAMES C.
