Louis A. ‘Hubie’ Hubert Jr. Monessen

Louis A. “Hubie” Hubert Jr., 60, of Monessen, died Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Mon Valley Hospital. Born in North Charleroi on Feb. 4, 1961, he was the son of the late Louis A and La Verne Sowden Hubert. He was an operator with the Mon Valley Sewage Authority for 27 years, a member of Monessen Elks 773, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and fisherman. Louis enjoyed family vacations to the beach and was Catholic by faith. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Lu Ann and James Hite. He is survived by two sisters, Mary Hubert Spangler of Canton, Ga., and Darla Hubert (Larry Healey) of Monessen; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Linda Hubert of Westview; two nephews, Jeremy and wife Hue Hite, and Brandon Hite; a niece, Lauren Hite; one great-niece; and three great nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Pope officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 600 River Ave., Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. All visitors must follow the COVID-19 guidelines, wear a mask and social distance.
