Claudia Watson Johnston Pickerington, Ohio – formerly of Monessen

Claudia Watson Johnston, of Pickerington, Ohio, formerly of Monessen, passed away following lingering illnesses on Friday, April 16, 2021, to be with her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents, Viva Eisley Watson and Thomas Watson; and a beloved aunt, Ora Eisley Bradley. Claudia was born at the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital on April 3, 1938. She graduated from Monessen High School, Class of 1956, and was employed with the former Eisenberg’s Department Store as a secretary/bookkeeper for several years before marrying Thomas Johnston, formerly of Donora, who survives her. She is also survived by a daughter, Karen Johnston; a cousin, Ralph (Marilynne) Stone; a lifelong friend, Patricia Petko: and her beloved dogs, Precious and Penney. Services will be held Tuesday, April 20, at the Presbyterian Church of Pataskala, Ohio. She will be buried at Belle Vernon Cemetery, where a short memorial service will be conducted in the chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April. 21.
