Joyce K. Haywood – Dunlevy

Joyce K. Haywood, 75, of Dunlevy, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in her home. A daughter of the late Michael and Sarah Briggs Kulik, she was born in South Park on March 19, 1946. Formerly of North Charleroi and Speers, she had resided in Dunlevy since 1986, where she was a member of the Dunlevy Methodist Church. Joyce had been employed for 10 years at U.S. Steel, retiring in 1975 and also at Charland Sewing Company for 10 years. She had also been a business manager for Froggy/Pickle, retiring in 2014. Survivors include her husband, Daniel F. Haywood, who she married in 1968; three daughters and a son in-law, Dawn Haywood of Dunlevy, Kimberly and Ryan Jeslis of Mokena, Ill. and Kelly Haywood and her significant other, David Dwyer, both of Churchill; two grandchildren, Sydney Jeslis-Ross and Addison Jeslis; two sisters, Naomi Rach of Monongahela and Nancy Kulik of South Park; sister in-law, Sharon Willey of Charleroi; brother-in-law, Norman Haywood of Spartanburg, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. Face masks are required in the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, in the funeral home with the Rev. Beverly Gross officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joyce’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Washington Area Humane Society.
