Richard “Redd” E. Wallace, 79, died in UPMC McKeesport Hospital on March 5, 2021. He was born on May 17, 1941, in Smithdale, to the late Bruce and Lily Mae Dixon Wallace. Preceding him in death were two children, Aaron Allen and Ruth Taylor; two siblings, John and Samuel Wallace. Richard graduated from McKeesport Technical High School in 1960. Shortly after that, he worked at Glassport Foundry. He also provided transportation services in McKeesport. Richard leaves behind his children, Michelle and Shelton Dorsey, Tracey Haten, Angie Golden, Derek Lee, Richard Jr., Denise, Jason and Tammie Wallace, Russell Allen, Richard and Carla Taylor and Shannin Reeder; 35 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; his siblings, Patricia (Bernard) Herbert, Priscilla (Jessie) Lamb, Larry (Jewel) Wallace, Evelyn Wilson, Madeline King, Carolyn Wallace, Reta Wallace and Carissa Robinson; his aunts, Gloria (Thomas) Wilson and Cecilia Bush and his uncles, Wilber Dixon and Clarence Mitchell; as well as a large extended family and many friends. Services will be a strolling viewing from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2021 with a private family funeral at noon, held at House of Jackson Memorial Chapel, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora. Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Pa., Karl Jackson, Funeral Director, 724-379-5420.
