In Our Lady of Sacred Heart’s destructive path to an undefeated regular season, the Chargers have often put their opponents out of the game after a quarter, or at least after a half.
The top-seeded Chargers continued their impressive play and quick starts into the WPIAL Class 2A playoffs by taking down No. 17 California, 92-35, in the first round Wednesday.
OLSH led 27-6 after a quarter and 54-19 at halftime, spurring a running clock for the second half.
“They’ve built a reputation on what they do successfully,” said Trojans coach Aaron Balla. “They put in the work and they’ve designed a program that’s working. Hats off to them.”
