Tyler Carson Hetherington – Monongahela, Forward Township

Tyler Carson Hetherington, 26, of Monongahela, Forward Township, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, in his home. Born April 13, 1994, in Washington Hospital, he is the son of Thomas Hetherington of Monongahela and Marsha Broggi Hetherington of Elrama. Tyler was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and was currently working as a mail carrier for the McKeesport Post Office. He was Methodist by faith and enjoyed snow skiing, designing, building and flying his remote-controlled airplanes and, in the summertime, loved long-distance bicycling, wakeboarding, paddleboarding and anything to do with the water. An avid reader, he was an Eagle Scout and played youth soccer when he was younger. Tyler excelled at everything he did or attempted and is going to be missed by all those who loved him. Surviving in addition to his parents are his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Broggi of Monongahela; a sister, Lauren Broggi of Monongahela; a nephew, Ryan Beresh; a cousin and best friend Mathew (Elizabeth) Miller of Bentleyville; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins; and especially his aunt, Pam Myers of Port Vue. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rusty Broggi; and his paternal grandparents, James Woodward Hetherington and Rowene “Bunny” Hetherington-Vogenberger. At the family’s request services will be private. The MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St. Monongahela, 724-258-6767, was in charge of the arrangements.
