Henrietta Mountser Cornell Sharrer – Belle Vernon

Henrietta Mountser Cornell Sharrer, 98, of Belle Vernon, passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at Country Care Manor, Fayette City. Born Nov. 25, 1922, in North Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Albert E. and Cynthia A. Kennedy Sharrer. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Sharrer was protestant by faith, a retired clerk from the former Union Cleaners, North Belle Vernon and was valedictorian of her Belle Vernon High School Class of 1940. She is survived by son, Lee Cornell of Belle Vernon; daughter and son-in-law, Amy F. and Dave W. Prentice of Hampstead, N.C.; grandchildren Erik Cornell, Brett Cornell, Seth Prentice, Tara Prentice. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles J. Cornell and second husband, Milton E. Sharrer; and sisters, Ruth E. Lynn, Rebecca Mountser, Gladys Chesworth and Iva Myers. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating. Interment will take place in Rehoboth Cemetery. The Family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Henrietta Sharrer to OSPTA Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.
