Ann Kuvinka Roberts – formerly of Monessen

Ann Kuvinka Roberts, 99, formerly of Monessen, died Wednesday Nov. 4, 2020, in Westmoreland Manor. She was born on May 20, 1921, in Monessen, the daughter of the late John and Anna Plattinger Kuvinka. Ann lived in Monessen all her life and was a graduate of Monessen High School. She worked at several supermarkets over the years, including the former A & P in Monessen and the Shop ‘n Save stores in Donora and Charleroi. She was a member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church in Monessen and the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elwood Roberts; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Kuvinka and Joseph Kostolansky; a grandson Joseph John Kostolansky; and by five brothers, John, Michael, Andrew, Paul and George Kuvinka. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday Nov. 7, 2020, in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will follow in the funeral home at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Constantine Curchin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. Memorial Contributions can be made in Mrs. Roberts name to the Monessen Public Library, 326 Donner Ave. Monessen, PA 15062, or the Greater Monessen Historical Society, 505 Donner Ave. Monessen, PA 15062.
