Paul L. Kolodziej, 48, of Washington Township, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020, after a battle with cancer. A son of the late Donald J. Kolod-ziej and Linda Gourn Kolodziej, who survives and resides in Washington Township, he was born in Monongahela on Jan. 27, 1972. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area, Paul had been a 1990 graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School. Prior to his illness, he had been employed as a heavy equipment operator, working on bridges. In addition to his mother, Paul is survived by a son, Zachary Kolodziej; a brother, Damond Kolodziej of Washington Township; a stepbrother, Donald Lucky of Oregon; a niece, Johnnie Lynn of Forward Township; lifelong friends, George Jones and his fiancée Jennifer Burgman of Washington Township; and many other family members and friends.
