Frank L. Britt, 77, of Monongahela, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, in his home. A son of the late James E. and Rose P. Porter Britt, he was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, on May 30, 1943. Frank was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was an avid motorcyclist, having Harley and Honda touring cycles. Frank and his wife Patty have ridden to all 48 contiguous states, the last trip taking them to Glacier National Park in Montana. He loved working on cars with his daughters and late grandson, Chance. His favorites were classic cars, especially his 1967 Chevy Chevelle. Frank had resided most of his adult life in Monongahela, the past three years in Forward Township, and the previous 10 in Crucible. He retired in 1998 after working 30 years at the former Fisher Body Plant of General Motors. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patricia R. Tempest Britt; two daughters, Bonnie Britt-Borgese of Marianna, and Amanda Britt and her husband Justin Trumpie of Monongahela; two sisters, Shirley (Lynn) Parshall and Carol (Harry) Stuckslager, all of Perryopolis; and five grandchildren, Xander Sims, Morrighan Britt, Wylleum Britt, Vivyan Trumpie and Adara Trumpie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Chance Borgese, on April 18, 2020; two sisters; and five brothers. There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
