By obits

John W. Culp IV, 57, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Oct. 23, 2020. He was born in Charleroi on May 21, 1963, son of the late John W. Culp and Kathleen Hreno Culp, who survives. John had attended the Christian Center of Rostraver Township. He had been a carpenter by trade, having worked with his brother, Jeff, for the past 35 years. John was a shooting star, he was a streak of light across the sky, burning bright. He loved his children; he was so proud of how they rose above life’s challenges; they were his best friends. He had a kind heart, and his smile was contagious. For John, life was never about material possessions; for John, life was about his children, making us laugh, getting his hands dirty, creating and having no regrets. John was truly one of a kind, rest assured he’s in heaven right now winning a debate with our father over the meaning of life. He will be missed. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Levi Culp; and a daughter, Mackenzie Culp; sister, Lt. Col. Kathleen Culp; brothers, Joel and wife Jacqueline Culp and Jeff Culp; and several nieces and nephews. The Culp family will welcome visitors at the Christian Center of Rostraver Township Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., the time of the memorial service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in John’s name be made to the Humane Society. Online condolences may be conveyed to the Culp family at www.rhomefuneralhome.com
