By obits

Noreen Elizabeth White Fazzini, 93, of Donora, peacefully passed away on to eternal glory with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born in Donora on June 18, 1927, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Grazzini White. Noreen graduated from Donora High School in 1945, and from California State University in 1949 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She married her high school sweetheart, Bernard Fazzini, and embraced both teaching kindergarten and her students before having her own much-loved children. Noreen was a longtime parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish (formerly St. Philip Neri Parish) in Donora. She was passionately committed to the Roman Catholic faith and actively involved with the Catholic Woman’s College Club since its inception 70 years ago. Noreen is survived by daughters, Mariane Newmeyer of Bethel Park and Bernadette (Jeff) Wisyanski of Export; sons, Joseph (Barbara) of Acme, James (Elizabeth) of Lower Burrell, John (Elizabeth) of Glen Arm, Md., Jerome of Bethel Park and Jeffrey (Becky) of Plum Borough; 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. At the request of the family, a private visitation and a private Mass of Christian burial was held. Interment took place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. The family asks that memorial contributions be made in Noreen’s name to www.penniesfromheavenpittsburgh.org, which enables parents to stay with their children who are in the hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900.
