Jodele ‘Jodi’ Vandernitte – Charleroi

Jodele “Jodi” Vandernitte, 68, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020. Born on April 9, 1952, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Ann Guzzi Huber. She was a member of First Christian Church of Charleroi and she was retired from Corning Glass. She was a great cook and she loved taking cruises and spending time with family. Jodi is survived by her husband, Joseph Vandernitte; son, Jamie Kepich and wife Tonya of Fallowfield Township; grandchildren, Jayme Lee and Jace Kepich; sisters, Cheryl Blair (husband Tim, deceased) of Charleroi and Mary Ann Cooke (husband Thomas, deceased) of Charleroi; sisters-in-law, Grace Lynn Arter of Charleroi and Betty Jo Matesich (husband David, deceased) of Charleroi; mother-in-law, Grace Vandernitte (husband Joseph, deceased) of Charleroi; a special nephew whom she considered a grandson, Declan Blair; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.
