Bryan R. Myers, 70, of Port Vue, died on Sept. 8, 2020. He was born in McKeesport, on July 8, 1950, and is the son of the late Robert and Ruth Gorman Myers and the husband of Pamela Hetherington Myers. He was a Bronze Star Vietnam veteran, the retired chief of police for the Borough of Port Vue for eight years, with a total of 20 years of service, the past commander of the Port Vue American Legion Post 447, a life member of the Vigilante Hose Co. No. 1 of Port Vue, a former councilman and mayor of Port Vue and an active member of the South Allegheny School Board for four years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Bryan (Lea) Myers of Port Vue, Matthew Myers of Elizabeth, Adam Myers of Port Vue, Matthew (Elizabeth) Miller of Bentleyville and Brandon (Patty) Miller of Monongahela; daughters; Jennifer (Ed) Stockett of Glassport and Jill (Jason) Bethlehem of Martinsburg, W.Va.; grandchildren, Bailey, Delaney, Nolan, Gavin, Nathan, Rylee and Kayee; brothers; Bruce (Elaine) Myers of Sunbury, Ohio and Robert Myers of Turnersville, N.J.; sisters; Christina Myers of Pleasant Hills and Raymona Stine of Cranberry. A Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at St. Eugene Church, 3210 Liberty Way, Liberty Borough, PA 15133. Burial to follow with military honors. Arrangements were entrusted to STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA, 15131, Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177.
