Earl J. Redmond – Monessen

Earl J. Redmond, 68, of Monessen, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020, at his home. Born June 2, 1951, in Brownsville, he was the son of the late Leroy and Myrtle Aldridge Redmond. A resident of Monessen for the past five years, having previously resided in Fayette City, Mr. Redmond was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Belle Vernon and was retired from Canestrale Contracting in Bunola as a truck driver. He is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Redmond of Monessen and Mary Ann and Steven Kovatch of Fairhope; two grandsons, Steven James Kovatch and Tommy Kovatch; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie E. Davies Redmond on Feb. 4, 2017; four brothers, Leroy, Duane, Charles and Robert Redmond; and six sisters, Edna, Mary, Gloria Ann, Dorothy, Betty Lou and Sandra. Private family visitation and funeral services will be held for the family with the Very Rev. Stephan Gresh of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church due to the COVID-19 pandemic and state mandate. Funeral arrangements entrusted to PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183.  Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Earl to Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church.
