Phyllis Pro Varrone, 80, of North Charleroi, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Born Sept. 14, 1939, she was the daughter of the late William and Palma Pro. She was Catholic by faith and was a graduate of Charleroi High School Class of 1957. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, and playing in her card clubs. She was retired as the owner of Varrone’s Gun Shop in New Eagle. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Antonio Varrone; son, Domenico Varrone; sister, Joanne Pireaux; sister-in-law, Rosemary Masciarelli; several nieces and nephews; and her puppies, Piper and Slim. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Flora Pro; and brothers, James, Edward and Eugene Pro. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2020, at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Charleroi Campus, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
