Port Vue hires police officer

Port Vue has a new addition to its police force as council voted Wednesday to hire Christopher Adams.
Currently a part-time officer, Adams will replace former officer Brice Joll, who resigned last month.
Council President Mark Tortorice said Adams is the kind of cop who cares about his community.
“He isn’t just a good officer but he is kind and goes above and beyond,” Tortorice said. “He is very kind hearted. There was a call about a lost dog and Adams climbed over a guardrail and down a hill to rescue a small, scared dog,”
