Mary Ann Wilson Goff, formerly of Charleroi, went home to Christ on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, at 88 years old. Mary Ann was born on Oct. 17, 1931 to the late Andrew Wilson and Izora Phillips Wilson. She was a graduate of former Marion High School in Fairhope. Mary Ann worked for the Pennsylvania State Department of Labor and Industry. She started as a clerk typist in 1955 and retired as the manager of the Office of Unemployment Claims in 1994. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Belle Vernon, where she served as church secretary for more than 20 years. She was an Eastern Star, an active member in her community and a life-time member of the Mon Valley Branch of the N.A.A.C.P. Mary Ann was a volunteer at the Charleroi Community Center where she served over 20 years as a trustee, a member of the Marquee committee, the Missionary and worked tirelessly to build the Youghiogheny Western Baptist Association to what it is today. Mary Ann was not only a mother; she was a grandmother, bowler, golfer and most importantly, a Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Nathan “Mushy” Goff Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Wayne; two sisters, Rebecca Dupree and Izora Carson; two brothers, Andrew and Edgar Wilson; one brother-in-law, Elliot (Finley) Carson; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Nathan Goff III; daughter-in-law, Danielle; two grandchildren, Gabrielle “Gabby” and Nathan Goff; her partner in crime, Kato, the family dog; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers, whom she adored. Friends will be received 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, at Antioch Baptist Church, 945 Henry St., Belle Vernon. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, in the church, with the Rev. Clifford A. Carter giving the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Karl Jackson, Funeral Director, 724-379-5420.
