Erma Linda Howard Gilpin – Carroll Township

Erma Linda Howard Gilpin, 74, of Carroll Township, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at her home. She was born Nov. 8, 1945, in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Ernest and Erma Eugenie Frocheur Howard. Erma graduated from Charleroi High School in the of Class of 1964.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Charleroi. Erma is survived by her husband, Robert Gilpin; her daughter, Jennifer Gilpin-Snipes and husband Jeremy of Mount Morris, Mich.; two sisters, Laurel Prokopovitch and husband Richard and Mary Logan, both of Perryopolis; her brother, John Howard of Belle Vernon and her granddaughter Savannah Snipes. In addition to her parents, Erma was preceded in death by two daughters, Roseanne Gilpin and Linda Thomas; and twin granddaughters, Anna and Belle Thomas. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at First Christian Church, Walnut Ridge Rd., Charleroi, with Pastor Charles Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park. FAMILY AND FRIENDS ATTENDING THE FUNERAL SERVICES ARE BEING ASKED TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH. Contributions may be made to the funeral home.
