William O. Pocky – formerly of Charleroi

William O. Pocky, 80, formerly of Charleroi, died Friday Oct. 25, 2019 at Southwestern Veterans Center Pittsburgh. He was born in Charleroi on Sept. 20, 1939, a son of William and Alice Frocheur Pocky. William was a U.S. Army veteran. He was retired from Monongahela Valley Hospital, where he worked in housekeeping. William enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, listening to music and APBA baseball cards. William is survived by two sons, Bob (Lori) Pocky of New Stanton and Bill (Maggie) Pocky of Ohio; two daughters, Tina (Chris) DeMatty of North Huntingdon and Anita (James) Rodgers of Edmonton, Canada; six grandchildren, Thomas Pocky, Samantha DeMatty, Melanie Holbrook, Chelsea Cole, Kyocera DeMatty and Gotham Rodgers; and a sister, Norma Jean Milligan of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lennie J. Pocky in 2004; and a son, Tommy Pocky. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Southwest Veterans Center, 7060 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA.
