Warriors get tough lesson in 7-0 loss to Hampton

Brandon Gerba has a mantra he often repeats to his team about every game, “You either win or you learn.”
Monday’s game fell into the learning category for Elizabeth Forward.
In the first round of the WPIAL Class 3A playoffs, the Warriors were dominated thoroughly, losing 7-0 to Hampton.
Gerba knew the Talbots are good, but the manner in which they jumped on his team was surprising.
“Last week, we had two really good practices Wednesday and Thursday and had a nice session on Saturday,” he said. “The girls were ready, but Hampton came out fast and flying. They beat us to the ball a few times early and that was kind of it from there.”
