William T Brown, 79, of Brownstown, Fayette City, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, in Mon Valley Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born June 20, 1940, in Washington Township, Fayette County, a son of Robert Brown Sr. and Margaret Yates Brown. Bill was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport. He was a life member of the Fayette City Volunteer Fire Company, American Slovanic Citizens Club, Gillespie Slovak Club and the Monessen Eagles. He is survived by his two daughters, Patricia Nestor of Monessen and Margaret Hricko and husband Gene of Fayette City; son, William T Brown Jr. at home; sister, Dorothy Nutt of Newell; three grandchildren, John Scott Nestor Jr., Deanna Evans and Roger Bryner Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Amelia Evans, Maximus Evans and Athena Nestor. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diana M. Allen Brown; and brother, Robert Brown Jr. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, at ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City. www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Fayette City.
