They say age is a state of mind.
If that’s true, Curtis Prest, a resident at the Residence at Hilltop assisted living facility, has been a spry, exuberant young man during his 105 years on this earth.
Prest’s personality was on display during his 105th birthday party Tuesday at the living facility, where he mingled, hugged and even shed a tear with his family, friends and the facility’s staff.
The party included sing-alongs of “Happy Birthday to You,” “Amazing Grace” and popular big band classics led by Jeff Riker, Via-Quest “enthusiologist” and chaplain, a toast by Prest’s son, Loring, and a birthday cake that fed the dozens of residents in attendance.
