A mother and her son are staying with family members after a dump truck crashed into their Speers house Monday morning, injuring three people and forcing gas company crews to shut off utilities for fear of a gas explosion.

The incident happened at the intersection of Anne Avenue and Twilight Hollow Road at approximately 10:45 a.m.

According to police, a dump truck hauling stones and mud being driven by a teenager employed by Tri State Welding in Charleroi sideswiped a car containing two individuals.

The car stopped on a grass island separating Anne Avenue and Twilight Hollow Road, and the dump truck crashed into the front of a residence at 906 Anne Ave. owned by Bobbi Rodino.
