Fatal crash victim identified

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the identity of a 23-year-old man who died after a vehicle he riding in crashed into a building Sunday in McKeesport.

Austin Taylor Fagan of McKeesport, the front seat passenger, was pronounced dead at an area hospital at 9:28 a.m. Sunday, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The car, driven by an unidentified 24-year-old, crashed into the Fifth Avenue Commons senior living apartment building at the intersection of Lysle Boulevard and Center Street at 6:54 a.m. Sunday. A second passenger, a 23-year-old male who has not been identified, was in the backseat. He and the driver were both taken to area hospitals on Sunday, according to Allegheny County Police.

The driver was treated and released, police said.

The second passenger was listed in stable condition on Sunday, according to ACPD, but an update about his condition was not released.
