Shenango escaped a non-conference matchup Friday night with a 27-14 win at Serra Catholic.
“We are a young team and we are growing,” Eagles head coach Jose Regus said. “We have a lot of sophomores playing key roles for us this season and they go out there and are learning on the field. We will continue to grow and continue to get better every week.”
Shenango quarterback Santino Campoli completed a 56-yard pass to Jason Kraner and finished off the Wildcats’ opening drive with a one-yard touchdown run to give the Wildcats an early 7-0 lead.
“It was big for us to go out there and score after that stop,” said Shenango head coach Jimmy Graham. “We have a young quarterback, and that drive gave him the confidence he needed to really get things going tonight.”
