Two offers have been made to purchase the Coyle Theater.
On Monday, Mon Valley Alliance CEO Ben Brown confirmed that two offers — of undisclosed amounts — have been submitted by Mike McCarty, owner of MTI, a technology management company in Rockledge, Fla., and Sound Spectrum Media CEO Eric Kellermann. They are hoping to purchase the vacant movie theater before demolition begins.
West Penn Power has disconnected the utility lines in the back of the property, and environmental remediation at the site began Saturday.
The remediation should be complete before the end of this month, which is when demolition is scheduled to begin.
