High School Roundup: Bearcats, Leopards roll in section play

By Mon Valley Independent

The Bentworth girls soccer team faces plenty of situations where its big guns, Jocelyn Timlin and Paige Marshalek, are going to be the focus of their opposition’s defensive plan.

So head coach Tyler Hamstra will need someone new to step up. And it happened Monday.

While Timlin did her thing and netted a hat trick, freshman Reagan Schreiber scored a pair of goals and big sister Rori added another as the Bearcats picked up a big Section 2-A win against McGuffey Monday.

“We had a great game,” Hamstra said. “McGuffey man-marked Paige and Jocelyn. I knew it was time one of our freshman attackers needed to step up and Reagan sure did with two goals, including the gamewinner.”
