‘Narcan Giveaway Days’ set in Allegheny County

The Allegheny County Health Department will hold two “Allegheny County Narcan Giveaway Days” this month.
From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 18, ACHD staff members will be in Room 240 of Mon-Yough Community Services, located at 339 Fifth Ave. in McKeesport. That same day, ACHD staff members will give away Narcan at Focus on Renewal Community Resource Center in McKees Rocks, Hilltop Family Support in Mount Oliver, House of MANNA Faith Community on Frankstown Road in Pittsburgh and at Allegheny Elks Lodge #339 on Cedar Avenue in Pittsburgh.
Narcan will also be given away from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Allegheny County Health Department Pharmacy in the Clack Health Center, Penn Avenue, Building #1, Pittsburgh.
“Narcan is a medication that can reverse an overdose within minutes,” an ACHD release states. “It can save a life.”
